OWN It: Curiosity Mystery Solved......to be continued!
I am taking this interesting online class, Five Habits of Highly Creative Teachers, and have the assignment to start a Blog. As this is something I have never taken the time to do, I find myself a bit stifled beginning. But I am a good sport and as such will move through my uncertainty with a smile on my face!
First assignment is to reflect on myself as an (,)person, a (!) person, and a (?) person. There was a definition by the instructors as to the meaning of the various punctuation marks but I think they are self-explanatory.
Sheree Harnagel is an outgoing, comfortable, mother-type person in her day to day life. At the ripe old age of sixty, having completed what others might say was a very interesting and substantive teaching career, she is definitely comfortable in her own skin. She is comfortable in new surroundings and has a way of making those around her comfortable as well, once they get to know her. She still is working at a job that doesn't challenge her much but "pays the bills" and has recently started tutoring which she is finding much more rewarding than she thought it might be.
Sheree Lynn Harnagel is definitely one of those people that on first meeting you would just think her to be rather plain, kind of frumpy, your classic "old school teacher" in appearance. She walks with a pronounced limp from a drunk driving car accident 30 years ago. But once you have had the opportunity to spend time in her presence, you immediately see her uniqueness and infectious personality! She is comfortable in her own skin and has a way of helping YOU to be comfortable as well, even if this isn't your normal way to be. She has a rather black and white way of expecting you to embrace her idea that you should only think positive thoughts because the universe will definitely give you what you believe! Who would intentionally believe anything negative, knowing that's what is coming his/her way for believing THAT way! She embraces life with gusto and believes that life is to be LIVED no matter what problems you might have. She "took back" as she puts it, her middle name when moving to Texas, because that's what she was called as a toddler and that's who she thinks of herself as now!
Sheree Lynn Harnagel has ALWAYS been a learner, a seeker, and inspired to keep learning and growing. She is always up for learning new things in interesting ways. She is comfortable with the unknown because she has a child-like attitude about her God being with her and those she loves. She embraces the unusual and can usually at least see some positive value in things that others might not be able to see. Her intent is to ALWAYS keep learning because who knows what new things you will learn believing like this!
